Biografy
Patrick was born in Oristano (Sardinia, Italy), the 25th November 1979.
When he was three obliged his mother to buy a plastic electric guitar.
Although it was a clear premonition of his future passion, nobody understood that, one day, he would have been a professional guitarist.
When he was 11 he started to study guitar with a book but it was pretty boring, so, after 8 months, he quitted.
When he was 12 he was really in love with Guns n'Roses and one 
day when he was at school, a music teacher did a substitution in his class, that hour of lesson changed his life. This teacher was playing his guitar for the students trying to play the songs requested from them... Patrick asked is favored song of that moment "knockin' on heaven's door" and he did it!!! It has take one less than a second for Patrick to ask the chords and write them down... that was the beginning!He started playing guitar by himself, before playing that 3 chords for hours every day! In a few weeks he started to find the other Gn'R songs by hear as soon as he was learning new chords! In one year and a half he was already able to play all the Gn'R songs including arpeggios and solos. To learn the first solo (always knockin'on heaven's door) he has learn also how to read tabs by himself.
After a few years he started to play something more challenging like Steve Vai, Satriani, Dream Theater and Malmsteen's music. When he was 15 he was already playing in several concerts and giving guitar lessons. He also started to study classic guitar, but his first choice was the electric one with whom he favored classic rock, blues, pop, metal, funk, swing, lounge, house music and whatever!... anyway he could play almost all kind of music.(Now he also plays a lot the acoustic guitar, another big love of his life he discovered a little later).
In 2004 he started working as endorser and clinician of his favored musical instruments, getting several sponsor contracts with Randall, Washburn, Morley, Floyd Rose, T-Rex and many more...
With differents companies of all over the world. In 2005 he released his first instrumental solo album “ tutto quello che ho da dirti” in which the track list was made up of all original songs sometimes written with his awesome singer Mino Mereu. Mino has always been his best friend since he was 6. In 2007 Patrick received the Award like the "Randall and Washburn european artist of the year" at the NAMM Show in Los Angeles from the USMusic Corporation.
In 2008 he had a band with Kee Marcello, the great virtuoso from the band Europe, the band was called "Kee Marcello and Patrick Abbate Band". Patrick played long time as solo musician doing concerts, master classes and clinics around Europe, USA and South America. Now he lives in Los Angeles where is playing with some different band and where is now working on his new solo album.
The people that have more inspired his life are Jesus, Steve Vai and of course, Antonio Abbate, his best life teacher.
